The West Central Alberta Rams from Sylvan Lake the Senior Men’s AA Provincial Champions for 2010 are proud to announce that they are officially changing their name and logo effective June 15^th, 2010.  The former WCA Rams as they have been known will be called the “Sylvan Lake Admirals”. 

The organization ran a name the team contest through the local community and with the support of the Kraze 101.3 radio station and the Sylvan Lake News over a three week period to name the team and the winning entry came from Lindsay Nikkiforuk of Sylvan Lake.

With the new identity comes the excitement of the organization making the next step to the Senior AAA ranks and will now compete with the Bentley Generals, Stony Plain Eagles and the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs for the Provincial AAA title and the opportunity to play for the Pacific Championship (McKenzie Cup) and the ultimate senior hockey title in the country the Allan Cup. 

The Sylvan Lake Admirals organization is currently working on some fantastic marketing opportunities for companies in Central Alberta and they look forward to building on the great relationship they’ve had with their past sponsors and are always looking for fresh sponsors to come on board.
